Please note, this guide is for unmanaged macOS computers where you have local administrative rights.

  • If you are using an Orchard managed macOS computer please see macOS Printing

  • If you are using an unmanaged Mac computer and don't have administrative rights please see Web Printing.

Only two printers/print queues are installed on BSG Macs: BSG Follow Me Colour and BSG Follow Me Mono.

Installing the Printer Queues

  1. Make sure you are on the BSG wifi.

  2. Download the Ricoh 5503 printer driver MacOS-Printer-Drivers.pkg

  3. Unzip and mount the downloaded disk image and install the Ricoh printer driver package.
  4. Download and run the installation package from BSG-Guest-Printing.app.

  5. Print a test page from any application. Select BSG - Follow Me Mono as the printer.

  6. Print a test page from any application. Select BSG - Follow Me Colour as the printer.

  7. When you print for the first time, it will ask you to authenticate. You must use your BSG credentials in format BSG\yourusername1234, this is the same username and password that you use to connect to the BSG Wifi or student iMacs.
