Manually connecting MacOS computers to BSG Fileshares

To manually connect to the BSG File Servers.

Select Finder (this can be done by clicking on your desktop background)

From the menubar, select "Go"

Select "Connect to Server"

Alternatively use the shortcut cmd-k when Finder is active.

Type the following into "Server Address"

  • afp://bsg-fs.bsg.ox.ac.uk/Live/

  • Use the + button to add this to Favorite Servers.

Then click "Connect"

Repeat the process to connect to your home folder, using these server details:

afp://bsg-fs.bsg.ox.ac.uk/RedirectedStaffFolders/_Login_User_Short_Name_/

Replacing _Login_User_Short_Name_ with your SSO.
